Action de Transformation Sociale à Impact Durable  was awarded $25,000 to implement it’s non-economic loss and damage project in South Kivu province, DRC

This project focuses on enhancing psychosocial resilience in communities affected by conflict and disaster, in South Kivu province, DRC. It aims to improve mental health support, reduce gender-based violence, and strengthen local health systems through community-based interventions. Activities include establishing support centers, training outreach workers and health professionals, and promoting awareness through radio programs, visual materials, and interpersonal communication. The initiative also fosters safe reporting mechanisms and survivor support, while encouraging community dialogue and healing. By integrating mental health into primary care and mobilizing local networks, the project builds sustainable structures for protection, recovery, and resilience—creating a model that can be replicated in other crisis-affected areas
