Lead Applicant for Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc.

Grant Description

Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc was awarded $25,000 to implement it’s non-economic loss and damage project in Negros Occidental in the Philippines.

Project Oasis is a youth-centered initiative that provides both immediate psychosocial relief and long-term mental health resilience in typhoon-affected communities in Negros Occidental. It delivers mobile MHPSS services, trauma-informed care sessions, and safe spaces to help young people recover, regain stability, and rebuild hope. Beyond relief, the project invests in training local youth leaders and health workers to sustain community-based mental health support integrated into local disaster risk reduction and management systems. Ultimately, Project Oasis envisions empowered communities in Negros Occidental that are climate-resilient and capable of caring for their own mental well-being for generations to come.
